Dr Se Youn Park is Director of Research at Women in International Security – Australia Inc (WIIS-A) and holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of Queensland. Her work investigates how gendered institutions and digital infrastructures produce and perpetuate insecurity across different domains of security policy and practice, with regional expertise in Australia, South Korea, and the UK.

Dr Jeremy J. Kingsley is Associate Professor and Associate Dean (International) at Western Sydney University’s School of Law, specialising in transnational law and legal anthropology. His research has been widely published, including his recent book Religious Authority and Local Governance in Eastern Indonesia (Melbourne University Press). He is a Chief Investigator on an ARC Discovery Project on contract enforcement in Indonesia and leads the Transnational Lawyering Consortium, a student mobility initiative with Deakin Law School. Jeremy also serves as a founding editor of the Asia Law and Society Series and is currently engaged in the international research partnership, the Inter-Asian Legalities Consortium.

Stephen Browne is a visiting lecturer at the University of Geneva and co-founder and co-director of the Future United Nations Development System (FutureUN.org) project. He is a former principal management adviser to the UN Industrial Development Organisation and has served in the United Nations system for more than 30 years, with half of that time spent on country assignments. Browne held positions as UN Representative in newly independent Ukraine and in Rwanda. His research interests include Official Development Assistance (ODA), United Nations reform, Sustainable Development Goals, peace building, and multilateralism.

Gaffar Mu'aqaffi is a Master's Student in Development Studies at The University of Melbourne. His research interest revolves around the Political Economy of Development, Social Movements, and Environmental Politics. His writings have appeared in national and international media outlets.

Bichen Wan is a Chinese student pursuing a Master's degree in International Relations at the Coral Bell School of the Australian National University. She is undertaking an internship with the Afghan women’s rights organisation Azadi-e Zan. As part of the internship, Bichen has been working with an expert delegation to address the systemic barriers facing Afghan women in the Australian migration system. Her perspective as an international student from Asia, combined with her research in global security and human rights, informs her interest in Australia’s responsibility toward Afghan women under Taliban rule.

Alfin Febrian Basundoro holds a Master of Strategic Studies (Advanced) degree from the Australian National University in Canberra.

Sameera Pillai is pursuing a Master’s degree in International Relations at the University of Sydney, specialising in American Foreign Policy and International Law. She holds a Bachelor of Communications and Journalism from UNSW, and previously interned with AIIA NSW. Currently, she serves as the Vice President of the Postgraduate Organisation for Political & Social Sciences at university and works in Communications for a Sydney-based law firm.

Daiki Sato is an undergraduate student pursuing a dual degree in Asia-Pacific Affairs and Global Liberal Arts at the Australian National University and Ritsumeikan University, with international experience spanning California, Japan, and Australia. He has served as a resident mentor for international students and is a former intern of the Australian Institute of International Affairs National Office.

Dr Hamed Zakikhani is an agronomist and researcher based in Queensland. He holds a PhD in Agronomy and has published widely on agriculture, food security, and strategy. His current focus is on the intersection of policy, international relations, and Australia’s role as a middle power in the Indo-Pacific.
