His Excellency, Mr Wahidullah Waissi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Afghanistan, speaks about the geopolitical context of Afghanistan, its location and resources, and future prospects.

Afghanistan’s national priorities are shaped by its character as a landlocked nation, the need for regional cooperation and its engagement with efforts to build international security. The bilateral relationship between Australia and Afghanistan has been critical to maintaining its security. Ambassador Waissi also envisions a future of hope and opportunities for Afghanistan.

His Excellency Mr Wahidullah Waissi has been Ambassador to the Commonwealth of Australia since March 2017.
