Andrea Benvenuti is an Associate Professor of Politics and International Relations at the School of Social Sciences, University of New South Wales, Australia. He teaches twentieth-century international history and diplomacy at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research focuses on post-1945 international history, with a particular emphasis on the Cold War in Asia. He recently published Nehru’s Bandung: Non-Alignment and Regional Order in Indian Cold War Strategy (London: Hurst, 2024).

Dr. Guangyi Pan is a Lecturer in International Political Studies at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, UNSW Canberra. His research focuses on asymmetric politics, China’s alignment policies, and realism of International Relations. He has published two books and several articles in leading journals, including International Affairs, International Relations of the Asia-Pacific, Pacific Review, The Chinese Journal of International Politics, and The Chinese Journal of Political Science. He received his PhD in International Politics from UNSW Sydney in 2024. Previously, he studied at Nanjing University and worked at UNICEF China.

Sascha-Dominik (Dov) Bachmann is Professor in Law and Security and (eo) Docent/Reader in War Studies at The Swedish Defence University. He is  a Research Fellow with the National Security Institute, University of Canberra, and a Research Fellow  with The Department of Strategic Studies, Faculty of Military Science, Stellenbosch University.

Dr Naoise McDonagh is the Director, Master of Business Administration (MBA). Naoise publishes original research on international business and trade issues, including how domestic regulation, international trade agreements and geopolitics impact the international business environment. In addition, he teaches courses on international business at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in ECU's School of Business and Law. Before joining Edith Cowan University, Naoise was a Lecturer in international political economy for three years at the Institute for International Trade, University of Adelaide. He also served one year as President of the Australian Institute of International Affairs, South Australia (2021-2022).

Dr Stephen Kirchner is program director, International Economy, at the United States Studies Centre, University of Sydney.

Dr Bruno Arpi is a Senior Lecturer at the Adelaide Law School, The University of Adelaide, Australia. His teaching and research focus on public international law, the law of the sea, climate change law, and Antarctic law.  

Dr Anna Hayes is a Senior Lecturer in International Relations at James Cook University and an Honorary Research Fellow at the East Asia Security Centre. Anna has presented numerous papers in Beijing, on topics ranging from the situation in Xinjiang, how the Belt and Road Initiative has been viewed outside of China, as well as the Quad and the Indo-Pacific from the Australian perspective.

Minh Phuong Vu is a PhD candidate at the Australian National University, where her research focuses on Vietnamese foreign policy, territorial disputes, and Southeast Asian security. 

Her doctoral research examines the role of historical memory in shaping Vietnam’s foreign policy. She has published on maritime and non-traditional security issues, including environmental degradation and livelihood insecurity in the South China Sea. Her academic writing and policy commentary have appeared in The Pacific Review, East Asia Forum, Australian Outlook and the South China Morning Post. She has also contributed to government-funded research on gender equality at the ANU Global Institute for Women’s Leadership, informing her interest in the social dimensions of climate change and disaster resilience. Minh previously worked as an intern and a Multimedia and Communications Officer at the Australian Institute of International Affairs and is a member of the Indo-Pacific Cooperation Network, organised by the AIIA in partnership with the Japan Foundation. She is a Shangri-La Dialogue Young Leader.

She holds a Master of International Relations from the Australian National University and a Bachelor of International Studies from the University of Wollongong.
