In 2013, Euan Crone, a member of AIIA VIC who participated in the AIIA VIC 2013 Study Tour of Myanmar, decided to establish a charitable endowment fund giving grants up to $5,000 per person to deepen awareness of Asia among young Australians.

Scholarships are open to young Australian citizens and permanent residents up to the age of 35 who are members of the AIIA in any Australian State or Territory at the time of application.

The inaugural recipients of the Euan Crone Asian Awareness Scholarship were announced on 11 December 2013. The next round of applications is now open from 15 July 2014 until 15 September 2014.
