Associate Professor Donald Kenyon AM

Donald Kenyon is a former Australian Ambassador the GATT/WTO in Geneva from 1993 to 1996 and Ambassador to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg from 1997 to 2000. Assoc Prof Kenyon was a senior trade negotiator for the Australian Government with many years experience in bilateral and multilateral trade negotiations. In Geneva, he served as Chairman of the Cairns Group of agricultural exporting countries during the Uruguay Round of multilateral trade negotiations. In 1995, he also served as the first chairman on the new WTO Dispute Settlement Body which was an integral part of the outcome of the Uruguay Round negotiations package. Mr Kenyon retired from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in October 2001. Since 2002, he has been associated with the Centre for European Studies at the Australian National University.
