AIIA 2014 National Conference session 1: Australian Foreign Policy

The first session of the AIIA 2014 National Conference, titled ‘Australian Foreign Policy.’ Senator the Hon Brett Mason delivered a speech on behalf of the Hon Julie Bishop MP, Minister for Foreign Affairs, also officially representing the Hon Tony Abbott MP, Prime Minister of Australia. This is followed by a speech delivered by John McCarthy FAIIA, National President, Australian Institute of International Affairs and then Professor Hugh White AO FAIIA, Professor of Strategic Studies, School of International, Political & Strategic Studies, ANU College of Asia and the Pacific. The session was chaired by Zara Kimpton OAM, National Vice-President, Australian Institute of International Affairs.

 

The final speech of the Australian Foreign Policy session of the AIIA 2014 National Conference was the Hon Richard Marles, Shadow Minister for Immigration and Border Protection.
