AJIA Boyer Prize Awarded to Daniel Bray

The Australian Institute of International Affairs is proud to announce Daniel Bray is the winner of the Australian Journal of International Affairs’ Boyer Prize for 2016.

Daniel’s article, ‘The geopolitics of Antarctic governance: sovereignty and strategic denial in Australia’s Antarctic policy  in Volume 70, Issue 3, 2016, was judged to be innovative, original and will most likely have a wide impact upon and application to a myriad of international issues.

Background Information

Launched in 2012, the Boyer Prize is awarded annually to commend the best article published in the Australian Journal of International Affairs (AJIA). The AJIA is edited by Professor Nick Bisley, Professor of International Relations and Convener of the Politics and International Relations Program at the School of Social Sciences at La Trobe University. The journal publishes high quality scholarly research on international political, social, economic and legal issues, especially (but not exclusively) within the Asia-Pacific region. The journal is published five times a year by Routledge Taylor and Francis.
