Sarah Phillips is an Associate Professor in the Department of Government and International Relations at The University of Sydney, and a Research Associate at the Developmental Leadership Program, The University of Birmingham. Her research is based on years of fieldwork and offers a critical perspective on security, development, and terrorism, exploring the politics of contemporary state-building interventions, modes of non-state governance, and post-colonial perspectives on international relations.
