Sallie Yea is an Associate Professor and Principal Research Fellow in the Department of Social Inquiry, La Trobe University. Prior to that she held positions in Human Geography and International Development in Australia, Singapore and New Zealand. She has conducted ethnographic research with trafficked persons in South Korea, Singapore, the Philippines and Cambodia. Her current research projects include a study of justice for victims of seafood slavery and labour exploitation of migrant construction workers, both focusing on Southeast Asia and the Pacific.
