Alan Tidwell is Professor and Director of the Center for Australian, New Zealand and Pacific Studies at the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. He holds a PhD in international relations at the University of Kent, England, a Masters of Conflict Management at the George Mason University and a Masters in Professional Ethics at the University of New South Wales. Prior to joining Georgetown University, he was a program officer at the United States Institute of Peace focusing on conflict in Southeast Asia. His other employment includes Macquarie University and the University of Sydney.
