Murat Yülek is a professor of economics and President of Ostim Technical University. A former IMF economist, he has been a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University, consultant at EBRD, World Bank and UNCTAD and an economist at International Monetary Fund. His research has concentrated on economic development, in particular on industrial and financial policy. His latest book How Nations Succeed: Manufacturing, Trade, Industrial Policy and Economic Development was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2018. He holds an MBA degree from Yale University, Ph.D. and M.A. degrees from Bilkent University, an MSM degree from Boston University.
