Kateryna Kasianenko is a PhD Candidate at the Digital Media Research Centre, Queensland University of Technology, and is affiliated with Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) Data61 group. Originally from Ukraine, she received her MA in Interdisciplinary Information Studies from the University of Tokyo, Japan. In her research, Kateryna utilises network analysis, computational discourse modelling, qualitative textual analysis, and interviews to examine everyday digital practices and morality as performed online. Her current overarching focus is on practices of online engagement with Russia’s war on Ukraine in Japan and globally.
