Dr Shubhamitra Das is an assistant professor at the Center for Indo-Pacific Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, specialising in Southeast Asia and Southwest Pacific studies. She has also worked in several national and international non-governmental organisations on varied issues like gender, local self-governance, rights, and entitlements of the marginalised sections of the society.
