Dr Lowell Bautista

Dr Lowell Bautista is Associate Professor at the School of Law and the Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security (ANCORS), University of Wollongong, Australia. An internationally recognized expert in the law of the sea, Dr. Bautista specializes in Asia-Pacific territorial and maritime disputes, particularly in the South China Sea, with research interests in ocean governance, maritime security, and international law. He holds degrees in Political Science and Law from the University of the Philippines, an LLM from Dalhousie University, and a PhD in Law from the University of Wollongong, bringing over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and consultancy.
