Andrew G. Bonnell is an Associate Professor in History at the University of Queensland, specializsing in modern German and European history. He has written or edited nine books, most recently Red Banners, Books and Beermugs: The Mental World of German Social Democrats, 1863-1914 (Brill, 2021) and Robert Michels, Socialism, and Modernity (Oxford University Press, 2023).
