Jackson is currently a student at the ANU and a policy analyst at the Tech Council of Australia. Among other things, he has previously worked as an adviser on industrial and tech policy in the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and as an editorial team member of the East Asia Forum.
He has served on the Council of the AIIA ACT Branch since 2024.
