Former AIIA VIC President The Hon Michael MacKellar AM passed away on 9th May, 2015.

Mr MacKellar held five ministerial posts between 1975 and 1982. He was the Minister for Immigration and Ethnic Affairs from 1975 – 1979, the Minister for Health from 1979 – 1982 and the Minister for Home Affairs and Environment in 1981.

Mr MacKellar was also the Minister Assisting the Treasurer from 1978 – 1979 and the Minister Assisting the Prime Minister from 1979 – 1980. Mr MacKellar represented the Federal Seat of Warringah in the House of Representatives from 1969 – 1994.

He will be missed by AIIA VIC members and beyond.
