Jacinta Carroll is Director of National Security at the National Security College of the Australian National University. Prior to that she was the founder and head of the Counter Terrorism Policy Centre at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI). Jacinta joined ASPI from the Commonwealth Government, having worked in the Department of Defence and the Attorney-General’s Department. Her career experience includes appointments working on counter terrorism, strategic policy, international policy, border security and operations, with a particular focus on the Middle East and Afghanistan. Jacinta is a graduate of the Australian National University and holds Masters degrees from the University of Sydney and Deakin University. She is a graduate of the Australian Defence College.
