Dr Alan Tidwell is the director of the Center for Australian, New Zealand and Pacific Studies at the Edmund A Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. He holds a PhD in international relations, University of Kent, England; a Masters of Conflict Management, George Mason University; Masters in Professional Ethics, University of New South Wales. Prior to joining Georgetown University he was a program officer at the United States Institute of Peace focusing on conflict in Southeast Asia. His other employment includes Macquarie University and the University of Sydney.
