The Australian Institute of International Affairs was saddened to learn of the death of one of its Fellows, Baillieu (Bails) Myer AC FAIIA this week.

Mr Myer was a businessman and philanthropist who served on the boards of Australia-Japan Foundation and the Australia-China Council and was a patron of AsiaLink. As well as Australia-Asia relations, his career spanned the fields of business, medical research, aged care, the arts, conservation, education and rural communities. He was a generous benefactor to AIIA Victoria and a Lifetime Friend of the AIIA.

The AIIA Fellowship recognises individuals with a connection to Australia who have made a significant contribution to international affairs.
