Indonesia-Australia Dialogue 2018

On 8-10 April 2018, the 4th Indonesia-Australia Dialogue was held in Barangaroo, Sydney. The focus of the dialogue was on the role of civil society in strengthening the Indonesia – Australia bilateral relationship towards a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The Dialogue was established in 2010 as a second-track bilateral meeting aiming to enhance people-to-people links between Indonesia and Australia. This year’s Dialogue was co-convened by The Honourable John Anderson AO, former Deputy Prime Minister of Australia and His Excellency Hamzah Thayeb, Indonesian Ambassador to Australia from 2005 to 2009. Participants of both countries included government officials, academics, experts and leaders from the business, media and technology sectors.

The Dialogue was organised by the Australian Institute of International Affairs with support from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and PwC Australia.
