Chair of the AIIA Research Committee - Call for Expressions of Interest

The AIIA is seeking to recruit a new Chair of the Research Committee.

The Research Chair will oversee publication of several established series, including Australia in World Affairs, from conceptual development to publishing. The Chair will be a member of the National Executive, and will work closely with the Executive Director whilst being given the opportunity to explore and produce initiatives of their own. The Chair will also facilitate discussion amongst leading academics in the field, including contributors and a Research Committee. The Chair is given the discretion to select their own Research Committee to engage as he or she sees fit.

The AIIA Research Chair is a prestigious position and the person selected will become part of a proud history of relevant, high quality research in the field of international affairs. Previous Research Chairs include Professors Hedley Bull, John Legge, Gordon Greenwood, Norman Harper, Anthony Milner, David Goldsworthy and John Ravenhill. Professor Shirley Scott is the immediate past Research Chair.

Expressions of interest should include a Curriculum Vitae of proposed editors and confirmation of institutional support. Applicants should submit their expressions of interest to AIIA National Executive Director on ceo@internationalaffairs.org.au by 30 October 2016.
