AJIA Special 70th Anniversary Issue

Published 05 Jul 2016

A very special edition of the AJIA has been published online via Routledge to mark its 70th anniversary as Australia’s leading scholarly journal in international affairs.

The edition features several pieces of work from its seventy-year history, including the forward from the first issue by RJF Boyer, and a reflection of the AJIA’s origin by former editor James Cotton AM FAIIA.

Other notable pieces of work include Professor Hugh White AO FAIIA’s reflections on Australia’s place in the Asian Century, Professor John Ravenhill FAIIA’s 1998 piece on the cycles of middle power activism and Professor Neville Meaney FAIIA’s analysis of Australia’s changing perceptions of Asia from 1945-1990.

The entire 70th-anniversary edition of the AJIA can be found here.

Congratulations to the AJIA editorial board and the contributing writers for this special edition.
