Australian Journal of International Affairs has a growing impact

Published 19 Jun 2017

The AIIA is very proud to announce that the Australian Journal of International Affairs (AJIA) has performed very strongly in the 2016 Journal Citation Reports and Impact Factors report, released by Clarivate Analytics.

The AJIA’s Impact Factor is now 0.859, marking a significant increase on the past score of 0.639. The AJIA has also improved its ranking in the International Relations category to 50/86, up from 52/86 last year.

This is an outstanding achievement, and credit must go to AJIA editor Nick Bisley and the editorial board for their ongoing efforts in lifting the AJIA to this new standard. The AJIA is consistently regarded as Australia’s leading scholarly journal in the field of international relations and foreign policy and its improved Impact Factor is a reflection of this.

For more information on publishing in the AJIA, see information for authors. Calls for proposals for special issues come out towards the end of each year.
