AIIA Queensland hosts New Colombo Plan Reception

AIIA Queensland hosted an NCP Alumni event on the 24 September 2020 at the Queensland parliament. The event provided an opportunity for NCP alumni to network through a Careers Forum, as well as enjoying a panel discussion with NCP Ambassadors, as well as speakers from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Austrade, Trade and Development Queensland and business. ” As well as networking, the event was intended to promote a greater understanding of Australian business and trade, as well as general links, between Australia (Queensland in particular) and Asia.

The guests included: Nick Williams, Deputy State Director, Qld – Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Professor Helen Bartlett, Vice-Chancellor and President, University of the Sunshine Coast; Julie-Anne Nichols, Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner, China, Trade and Investment Queensland; Janelle Casey, State Director, Qld – Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade); and NCP Alumni Ambassador Raymart Walker. There were 86 attendees including 71 NCP alumni, all in person at Queensland Parliament.
