Academy Asfari Fellowships

Published 13 May 2014

The Academy Asfari Fellowships are part of Chatham House’s new Academy for Leadership in International Affairs, established in September 2013. Academy Asfari Fellowships offer fellows the opportunity to develop innovative responses to the most pressing national and international challenges facing their region. With the potential for publication, and under the guidance of a Chatham House expert, fellows will also contribute to the work within a Chatham House department or program.

The Academy Asfari Fellowships are designed to bring together potential leaders from civil society, the public and private sectors in the Middle East, for between six and twelve months at Chatham House. The fellowships will run from September 2014 (fellows or senior fellows) or February 2015 (senior fellows only). The deadline for applications is 1 June 2014.

The fellowships are open to citizens from Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria. Candidates should be engaged in, or working with, civil society in these countries, whether they come from academia, NGOs, business, government departments, the professions or the media.

Further information and application details can be found here.
