Dr Ulrike Ziemer is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Winchester, UK. Her publications include numerous journal articles and book chapters on the Armenian diaspora in Russia, as well as on gender issues in the South Caucasus. She has published a monograph, Ethnic Belonging, Gender and Cultural Practices: Youth Identities in Contemporary Russia (Ibidem Verlag, 2011), and an edited volume, Women’s Everyday Lives in War and Peace in the South Caucasus (Springer, 2021).
