Inaugural Euan Crone Asian Awareness Scholarships announced

Published 10 Dec 2013

The AIIA is proud to announce that four of its young members have been selected as the inaugural recipients of the Euan Crone Asian Awareness Scholarships 2013. These scholarships are intended to assist recipients with the costs of travel to Asia for the purpose of deepening young Australians’ understanding and knowledge of Asia.

Scholarships worth up to $5,000 have been awarded to Andrew Gannon (WA), David Lang (QLD), Kimberley Layton (ACT) and Scott Lennard (VIC).

The Euan Crone Asian Awareness Scholarship was established through the generous support of Euan Crone, a member of AIIA in Victoria since 1997. In April and May 2013, Mr Crone visited Myanmar as part of an AIIA Victoria study tour, and set up the scholarship upon his return.
