The AIIA held a briefing for Senator the Hon Penny Wong in Melbourne on 25 July.  The discussion covered Iran, the Iran nuclear deal, tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and other pertinent issues in the Persian Gulf.  Chaired by AIIA National Executive Director Melissa Conley Tyler, the briefing brought together Professor Shahram Akbardazeh of Deakin University, Dr Kylie Baxter of the University of Melbourne and AIIA VIC President Patrick Moore. The AIIA is pleased to fulfil its role by acting as a knowledge-broker providing a forum for informed debate on international issues.
