Call for Nomination of Fellows 2015

Published 01 Jul 2015

The Australian Institute of International Affairs (AIIA) has been promoting interest in and understanding of international affairs in Australia and the region for more than 85 years. The AIIA operates nationwide with more than 1400 members across seven State and Territory branches and hosts more than 180 events per year.

In order to fulfil its mandate, the AIIA Fellows program was initiated in 2008 to recognise exceptional contributions to Australia’s international relations.

The AIIA welcomes nominations of distinguished persons in politics, government, academia, nongovernment organisations or other capacities thought deserving of recognition as a Fellow of the Australian Institute of International Affairs (FAIIA). Nominees are not limited to AIIA members or Australian citizens: the overriding criterion is that the person has achieved a very high level of distinction in, and made a distinguished contribution to Australia’s international relations.

All nominations will be treated in confidence and will be assessed by a selection committee made up of members of AIIA’s National Executive (who are ineligible for nomination).

The 2014 AIIA Fellows is available here.

To make a nomination, please contact Melissa Conley Tyler, National Executive Director; 0409 765 787; ceo@international affairs.org.au.
