This episode of AIIA VIC’s Dyason House Podcast features the experience of four-time Walkley Award winner, Matt Brown, in his journalism in the Middle East.

It is important to have a good grounding in a range of different reporting formats and have exposure to different types of journalistic investigations. Political reporting is very useful due to the high level of scrutiny on your reports. Key elements to success include curiosity, resourcefulness, perseverance and some modicum of story-telling to focus on what people are going to find interesting.

Matt Brown is the former ABC Middle East correspondent and a four-time Walkley Award winner for his journalism.
