Published 27 Jun 2017

The Australian Institute of International Affairs was represented at 2017 China Global Think Tank Innovation Summit in Qingdao on June 22-24. The event was co-organized by The Think Tank and Civil Society Program of the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, the Center for China and Globalization, and the municipal government of Qingdao. More than 200 policy makers and thinkers from 70 organisations in 20 countries came together to discuss the theme ‘Build High-end Think Tanks Cluster, Accelerate Regional Economic Transformation’. The conference explored a carefully selected set of policy and organizational challenges facing think tanks in China and other regions across the world, and provided strategies and policy proposals to address them.

AIIA National Executive Director Melissa Conley Tyler spoke on “Contributing to Global Governance – Globalization of Think Tanks”.
